In the old comercial the images are represented by one photo. In this photo there is a man smoking.

In the new comercial the images are represented by one photo. In this photo there are boxes of cigarettes.

In the old comercial:In the background there is a wooden house in the middle,there is a man that he smoking,and on the right hand-corner there are two boxes of cigarettes.There is only one slogan.

In the new comercial:There are two boxes of cigarettes,The important thing is that there are many warnings. There aren't slogans just warnings.

The first comercial , is positive ,smoking is good and we see a happy woman.This woman is smoking .In this advert , smoking is the best for you and for your life,but in the real world is very bad,smoking kills!!!
In the second comercial,smoking is horrible,smoking kills people...

Cigarettes

The image in the first ad is a drawing of a woman smoking a cigarette. The elements are distributed in the following way :the slogan is on top of the commercial , the central image is a woman smoking and there is a cigarettes carton below the woman . The image is realistic.
There is a text used to give information about the cigarettes .The advert can be understood without the text .

The image in the second ad is a photo of someone's legs and a box of cigarettes .The elements are distributed in the following way : the slogan on top and the warning on the left. The image is realistic.

The values are the same in the two images : smoking is relaxing , but in the first there isn't the information about the harm produced by smoking.

Advertising

This term we are going to learn about advertising. There are different types of adverts but in general commercials are used to increase the consumption of determined products.Different types of media are used to advertise products, some of them are more traditional like magazines, newspapers, television, radio and mail. However, nowadays websites and text messages on the phone are also a very common way of advertising.
In our lessons we have started comparing old and more recent commercials. We think that the smoking issue is of special interest because it has changed so much!!
Here you will find two commercials announcing cigarretes, what do you think? isn't there a huge change of attitude?

Experimenta

At school, the students of 2^nd ESO ,were teachers of scinetific experiments at EXPERIMENTA .Other students from other schools came to IES Na camel·la .

My class made an experiment.The students took turns to show the experiment to other students. Experimenta was very interesting,the students from other schools were very happy with the experiments .

My class made a poster and I draw Einstein with the sentence,''Més magia ,més ciència''. We liked experimenta and everybody was very excited!

The student of first and second of E.S.O , will go to Andorra from the 22nd March until the 25th March.

They will go skiing , ice-skating , to Caldea , and the last day they will go rafting .

In Caldea they will relax in the jacuzzi , the sauna , the thermal springs , pools.....they will have a lot of fun there!

The students that don't go to Andorra will have to go to class , ohhh!!!! :(



They might go to a disco-on-ice , to dance......will there be any romance...???

We hope they have a great experience and they have a great time !!!!

Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world.it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending ,Valentine's cards, presenting flowers ,or offering sweets.Modern Valentine symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid.

Sant Antoni

Sant Antoni is a traditional celebration in a lot of towns in Majorca.There is no age to celebrate it , as young and old people enjoy of this event.One of the most inportant things of this celebration is the bornfire contest.The participants make cardboard imatges of Sant Antoni ,the devils and other characters. There are different prices and the best one gets an important quantity of money.

On Saturday, at 2:30 the demons are at " Ca's Bassiner" where they dance . Then they got to the town hall where a lot of people are waiting for them .Then they go to the old people's home and to the " completes ".Then they go to the rectory and there they light the first bonfire.
After that , the demons go all around Manacor singing and dancing at the bonfires. Everibody grills meat and " llangonissa"and they have a lot of fun in this great celebration!
