Spukky Halloween story....

What's under the bed?

There was once a girl, Sarah, who lived with her parents, her elder sister, Emma and her dog, Spot. One day the parents went out and told their daughters that they would be gone for a few hours. Sarah, the young girl, wasn't scared because she had Spot, her dog, which slept under her bed, to protect her.

Around 2:00 a.m.Emma, the eldest sister, was awoken by a strange noise from the bathroom, but she thought it was her imagination and fell asleep again.

Later, at about 2:30, the noise was still in the bathroom and at about 3:00 the noise became louder so Emma went to the bathroom to find out what was going on. She went there and found the dog lying on the floor. It seemed to be... dead? Ahhhhh!.... She screamed.

Sarah woke up and when she realised Emma was not in her bed, she felt very afraid. What she usually did to feel safe was to put her hand under her bed and let Spot lick it. She waited and waited for her sister to come back but she didn't. Then Sarah put her hand under the bed and... she could feel something licking her hand.

Halloween

Halloween is a festival that is celebrated on 31st October. It has its origins in the Celtic festival of Samhain in Ireland. Then Irish immigrants took this festival to North America. Nowadays many European countries celebrate this day.
On Halloween day people do activities like wearing costumes, telling ghost stories, watching horror films, playing trick or treat and making lanterns with pumpkins, which are called jack-o'-lantern.
This year in Na Camel·la, we also want to celebrate Halloween... Be careful, Na camel·la will become the spookiest highschool in Manacor......

Scottish Students in IES Na Camel·la

The school year starts with the Scottish students visit. Na Camel·la highschool has had an exchange with students from Scotland for many years. Our students in first of 'batxillerat' go to Sccotland and they stay with a Scottish family and later the Scottish students come to Majorca and stay with a Majorcan family.
This year the PCAII students go to the welcome party and interview some Scottish students. At the party, both, Majorcans and Scottish, were dancing to the sound of the typical Majorcan folk music "ball de bot". Although some girls were wearing high heels, they didn't fall down!!! Incredible!!
